The Continuing Adventures of Joe Stickman

Over the last few weekends we have been at comic conventions and have been up to our old tricks of getting artists and writers to contribute to the Joe Stickman gallery. First up we were at Heroes and Legends 14 on July 23rd and 24th, where we managed to get contributions from Simon Wyatt, Simon Williams, Simon Bisley and his friend Sildy (who added the first ever Josephine Stickman).

Simon Wyatt drew a Deadpool Joe.

Simon Williams decided to scare Joe with the Hulk

Simon Bisley Contributed with this Joe

And Here is the Very First Josephine Stickwoman By Sildy

on Saturday 6th August we attended Bristol Comic Expo where we managed to get Paul Grist, Rob Williams, Lee Garbett, and Alan Davis to add to our ever growing collection of Joe's.

Joe Stickman by Paul Grist

Lee Garbett drew a Lucifer Joe

Rob Williams introduced us to Ghost Rider Joe

and to top off Joe's Bristol adventure Alan Davis made him Captain Britain Joe

Overtime we approach a new artist or writer it is always a mixture of nervousness that maybe they'll turn us down, but this is usually followed by the excitement of seeing where it will lead. If you see that we have been to a con make sure to check here to see what adventures Joe goes on next.

SCC at Margam Park Heroes and Legends

Yay, convention time! this time were back at Margam Park for another great Heroes and Legends.
this was held over both Saturday and Sunday, but unfortunately we could only make the sunday. so here are some shenanigans from sunday.

Sexy Supergirl cant get enough of Copperopolis. if thats thats not selling point enough i dont know what is.

So, they do a 'Guests Group Photo' ever time, it seems we werent quiet 'Guest' enough, despite them taking the photo right in front of our table. but we still snuck our comic in there.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by for a chat, more thanks to the people who stopped for a chat and picked up some comics and prints. hope everyone who had sketchcards and sketches were pleased with them.
oh, and a special thank you to Waggy, for getting everyone a cup of tea or a drink.... except for me.

see you guys same time, next time.

ASSEMBLE!!!

An SCC Review

This was sent to me by Ricky some time ago, he found it a couple of days after Heroes and Legends Margam Park. i only recently re-discovered it on my harddrive.

Its part of a Video Blog by a woman going by the name 'Little Miss Goggles'. she reviews the convention as a whole, but also gives the SCC a special mention. i hope she doesnt mind that i extracted the SCC part an left out all the rest. i would post a link to the full video, but she seems to have taken the video down and deleted her account :/

Now before you watch it, let me just say it is an incredible "Ego-tug" for the SCC. (i say tug, because it seems more all round age appropriate than Ego-W*nk)

Heroes and Legends Margam Park

This are the Photo Escapades of the SCC at Heroes and Lengends-Margam Park last weekend. it was cool, and fun, and... cool-fun, with hammers and shields and pencils and goggles... be jealous.

Thank you to everyone who came along, everyone who added to the Wall-Comic (which will be up tomorrow or the day after) and again i feel i must apoligize if Adam harrassed you in any way (he has a problem, were trying to get it seen to, but in the meantime it really helps his progress if he's allowed out every now and again)

oh and also a HUGE Thank you to the guys that broke my Thor Hammer, Good job. :P
